HANNAH WOOD Daughter of Elijah & Nancy (Coker)Wood: • 1st m. Joseph Maynard c. 1860. He served in the Confederate army, was found shot dead c. 1863-64, probably by Union troops, only 3-4 miles from his home, buried at the Home Graveyard. • 2nd m. Brackett E. Stewart c. 1866, and he left Hannah a few months after their marriage and went west with Henry Blankenship. Four or five years later one of Hannah’s neighbors heard indirectly that he had died. She lived near Buffalo, MO January 1864 until about 1867, then went back to her old home in Boone County, AR. • 3rd m. Hugh Yourd, c. 1887 after knowing him 3-4 years, believed he had not been married before. When they married, he sold his nearby homestead and used the money to fix up the place Hannah had and where they lived thereafter.
