I need help: My GGGrandfather Carroll Johnson [first name could have been Carroll, William, Jacob or John] born in Tennessee between 1800 and 1810 Married Mary Maxwell about 1827 when she was 13 years old. They moved to Carroll County, Arkansas shortly after their marriage and were living there in 1857 when there son Jacob was born. The family story is that he served in the Civil war and died from a fever he got during his service in that war. Mary is said to have died in 1908 at the age of 95. I do not know where she died or where either of them are buried. This would have made Carroll quiet old to be going to war and Mary would have gave birth to Jacob at the age of 43 or 44. I am just at a dead end. I think they both died in Arkansas as that is where two of their son's Jacob and Van died. I would appreciate it so much if some one could help me with this brick wall. I have the obiturary of their son Jacob and the information I have written here is part from that obiturary and his death certificate. Thanks for any information or suggestions. Have a great evening. Goldie.
