Hi,My name is Joy Russell and I live in Madison County, Arkansas, and work with the Madison County Genealogical Society.I have looked for information on Keziah Litterell and her husband on Ancestry.com and found several entries. The information that I found there shows that Keziah BRYANT married John Litterell (his name is also shown as Luttrell).John was the son of Nathaniel Luttrell and Nancy Sarah Shelton.John is found in the 1832 and 1833 tax lists of Lawrence County, Arkansas; and on the 1840 census of Randolph County, Arkansas.John died in Randolph County, Arkansas, on 20 August 1843.Here are a couple of contact e-mails of people who have registered that are working on John & Keziah's families:firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com (Greg)
I also searched our quarterly magazine "The Madison County Musings" and found the following query that was placed in the Spring 1997 issue: "Moren, Litterell, Bryant:Looking for information on my great-grandparents, James Moren, born ca 1830 in Washington County, Indiana, died in Madison County, Arkansas and is buried in the Fritts Cemetery there.James married Harriett Edwards, born 1835 in Tennessee and died in 1911.
James & Harriet's daughter, Harriett Elizabeth Moren, born 20 May 1866 in Indiana, died 3 November 1948 in Madison County; Harriett married Lawrence M. "Mandy" Litterell on 30 January 1890 in Madison County, Arkansas.
Lawrence M. Litterell was the son of John Litterell and Keziah Bryant Litterell, who came to Madison County about 1850, originally from Jackson County, Alabama.Rhonda Jameson, 1007 Highland Av. Manhattan Beach, CA 90266: e-mail: RJNLA@aol.com".
I don't know if this is a current address or e-mail for Rhonda or not.
Keziah Litterell is buried in the Huntsville Cemetery at Huntsville, Arkansas, and her tombstone reads:Kesisa Litterell, 13 October 1820 - 17 October 1874.Additional information included in the Huntsville Cemetery Book shows that she was the daughter of William Bryant. It also says that she has a 3 foot tall, square marker.
Buried beside Keziah in the Huntsville Cemetery are several other Bryant and Litterell people.
I hope this give you some help.Let me know if I can help further.
