I’d like very much to contact living descendants of James Jonas Henderson and Mary Ann Perkins.James Jonas Henderson, son of Nathaniel and Sarah Henderson, was born about 1831 in Tennessee and married Mary Ann Perkins 12 Nov 1850 in Franklin County Arkansas. They appear in the 1860 Madison Co AR census with their daughters, Elizabeth(b. 1852 m. Thurman), Mary (b. 1855 m. Wadkins), Susannah (b. 1857 m. Sutherland) , and Edy (b. 1859).They also had a son, Jonas Richard born in 1863.Jonas died22 Feb 1863 in the Field Hospital in Fayetteville. All census records list him as James Henderson and military records call him Jonas Henderson, but the list of children in Mary‘s pension papers are the same as those in the census records so I assume his name was James Jonas Henderson.Mary Ann was born Apr 1836 in Arkansas, the daughter of Elijah (1796-1845) and Polly Manes Perkins. She lived in Madison County until her death 15 Feb 1915.She had three brothers, Levi Perkins 1823-1859,unk son 1830-1840 and Henry 1839-?; and two sisters. One sister was born about 1827 in TN and one born about 1830 in TN who I believe was Louisa Gibson who appears in the 1870 and 1880 Madison Co AR census records..
