King Darsis Cherry born April 15 1884 in Dover Tn raised in Trigg co Ky . Was my g-uncle he married Elizabeth Grant before 1910. Sept 12 1918 he and Lizzie were in Barton ,Arkansas he was a section hand for the rail roadout of St Louis Mo.
When he applied for his Social Security card he said he was born Big Rock Tn (Stewart Co) .
1910 K.D. Cherry and Lizzie are listed twice once in Poinsett co Ar and in Craighead co Ark
1920 K.D. and a new wife Azilee Padden Cherry are in Minturn Ar Lawrence Co. step daughter Lola Padden They married in Greene Co Arkansas . Who was Azilee Padeen her first husband was Elbert Padden.
1930 K.D.Cherry and Azilee is in Ferndale Oakland co Michigan .the step daughter is with them
1935 in Dunklin co Missouri he married Elise Maybel Dodson.
He died Setp 15 1970 Sikeston Mo.

Sept 26 1978Mrs. Minnie Cherry, 83, Oak Street, Cardwell, MO, died early this morning at Lane Nursing Home, Monette, The
widow of K. D. Cherry, who preceded her in death in 1968.Mrs. Cherry lived in Trumann prior to moving to Cardwell 14
years ago.She was a housewife and a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include two sons, Albert Foster of Lake Alford, FL and Jess Foster of Cardwell; one step-daughter, Mrs.
Minnie Brown of Jonesboro; four step-sons, Homer England of Murray, KY and Earl, Lawrence and John England, all of
Trumann; one half-brother, Clyde Barrett of California; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 10 Thursday morning in the Thompson Funceral Home chapel, Trumann, with burial to follow
in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 5 today until time of services.
