The following names are who I am searching for and records of where they may have lived and what happened to them. *Silas “Lee” Leander Stricklind (1880 Census showed the name of Lee Striclin, Dayton Twp. Sebastian County, Ark. ) Was born in 1856, Georgia.His Father was William Stricklind?Silas died in 1888, Feb 1st. I am told he raised horses and never remarried. It is said he was buried near Mena, Arkansas. We do not know how he died or where he is buried. Married to: *Savilla Louise or Louise Savilla Bennett-Stricklind, was born in Mississippi and died in 1884, Dayton Twp. Sebastian Co, Arkansas.Daughter of James A. Bennett and Debby Ann Mullins (spelled Bebby Ann Bennett on the 1880 Ark. Census) of Sebastian County, Dayton Twsp. Arkansas. They had three boys: James Samuel Stricklind. Served in the Spanish-American war effort, and died of typhoid, buried in the Fayetteville National Cemetery, Washington County, Arkansas. (Strickland, J S, d. 10/03/1898, Plot: 5 0 1227, bur. 10/03/1898) Richmond Carroll Stricklind. B. 8/20/1879 – D. 5/1/1929 (my Great Grandfather) Willis Washington Stricklind. The 3 boys were left to James A Bennett (Sebastian Co, Ark.) to raise after the death of their parents. *Desperately seeking information on Silas and Savilla. We do not know where they lived, how they died, where buried or any more information on the parents of Silas L. Stricklind.
