Does anyone have any information on the orphans Zachariah and Benjamin Foster living in the household of Thomas J. Anderson? I am attempting to determine who their parents were and where they lived prior to Sevier Co.

Fostner should read Foster. I believe Zach's birthplace should be Mississippi. Thomas J. Anderson was originally from Overton Co., Tenn. Lotty Anderson is Thomas Anderson's second wife Charlotte Simmons; she is the widow of Banister Simmons who was from Franklin Co., Alabama. I do not know her maiden name. J. L. Dicks name is also spelled Dykes in some places.
Three months later Zachariah is enumerated in the Robert Grady household.

Zachariah and Ben disappear after 1860. Since Paraclifta Township lies right on the old Choctaw Nation border, this leads me to think that Zachariah they might have gone there. Does anyone know anything about these Fosters? I'd also like to know where Thomas Anderson was living prior to Sevier Co. I've searched the 1850 censuses for Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas to no avail. Was he in the Indian Territory?
