This will help you - now that you have the obits. How do you fit with these families?
1880 Washington CO. AR # 2 Springdale Twp James Beeler 61 KY KY KY Lorinda62 TN __ __ William25 MO KY TN son
The person who transcribed the above record for census books that were sold - has James's surname listed as Beslen and has Lorinda listed as Louisa.
1880 Washington CO. AR #115 Springdale Twp T. C. Bingham 39 MO KY KY S. S.38 MO TN TN nee Sarah Beeler Alice M.13 MO MO MO dau James12 MO MO MO son Sarah7 MO MO MO dau Maggie5 MO MO MO dau Troy Bingham24 MO KY KY brother
Now when I was loaned an abstract while researching the very old Holcomb Cemetery in Springdale; part of the original parcel of land was owned by James and Lorinda Beeler.
James owned land contiguous to the cemetery and sometime after he died according to the abstract someone had to have a title quieted and being the person I am I naturally wrote down who were listed as children of James and Lorinda. They are: Sarah E. Bingham Martha E. McClure Emily J. Teaque Ardena M. wife of James T. Roach W. M. Beeler ( this would be William)
1900 Washington CO. AR #57 Springdale Town James T. Roach 55 KY KY KY A. M.40 MO TN TN nee Ardena Beeler Claudie18 MO TN TN dau Francis11 AR KY MO dau Minnie10 AR KY MO dau
Now Claudie had married and is listed twice in the 1900 census records.
1900 Washington Co. AR #58 Springdale Town Robert Bingham 23 KY KY KY Claud19 MO KY MO wife Ellis2 AR KY MO son
I'm betting that Robert is James Robert Bingham and he and Claudia are first cousins.
One Mr. Roach was an early day barber in Springdale.
It is possible that at a later date I can find the copy of this abstract and give you the book and page number. Before you ask, the Holcomb Cemetery is landlocked and there are very few stones left from families that let their children use the cemetery as a playground. I do know that if the Beeler's were buried here there are no gravestones to mark the site.
You will have to jog my memory to find the Deed book number, today I am expecting my daughter and my brother for about a week's visit. I am not going to dig now.
