Hi Debra, Did you see his WWI draft reg?The birthdates aren't an exact match. But I think the signatures look the same. Physical description is close also, tall and slender, but a difference of how many missing fingers on right hand. WWI says two, WWII says one.
WWI - He says he was born in Wakpala, SD, which is Corson Co. and that is part of the Standing Rock Reservation. Nearest relative is listed as William Red Cloud in Wakpala, but does not give relationship. WWII - says born in Black Hills, ND, but most of the Black Hills are in South Dakota.
When he was born and most of his young manhood, most of South Dakota and a little of North Dakota was the great Sioux reservation.
Can't help with Crafts Amusement Enterprises, but I suspect they were a traveling carnival or circus. WWI original registration wasin Oklahoma?and he says he's a cowboy for Al G Barnes Circus.and WWII's was back east Maryland? (without looking again)
I know this is more questions than answers, but good luck in your search.
