I saw that part, but when you laid it out, so much more was clarified also.
It appears that William Lowe and Mary Lowe (Sanderline) had the following children, including my g-grandfather David H Lowe:
Mount Pleasant, Green, Wisconsin William Lowe 45 b about 1805 Virginia Mary Lowe 43 b about 1807 Virginia Benjamin Lowe 18 Joseph P Lowe 16 David Lowe 14 b abt 1836 Ohio <--------------- Sarah Lowe 12 William H Lowe 10 John C F Lowe 7 Cyrus Lowe 5 Mary E Lowe 1
Mary was born in Virginia and William was born in Ohio (either Greene or Jefferson county "More than likely Jefferson County) even though he said Greene County per his military records but he was in a Greene county WI from what I remember seeing so that may confusion on his part.
William may have been born around 1805. The following came from some research of my cousin:
The 1850 US Census gives Virginia as William's birth place. His son Cyrus's 1875 Minnesota State Census gives New York.Son John's 1900 US Census says William gives Indiana
In the 1855 Wisconsin state census, William's household consists of 6 males and 4 females.Unfortunately the information is not specific enough to inform us if the 4th female is a child born between 1850 and 1855, or if it is some other relative, or a boarder. This data also means that other than son Benjamin (married and living nearby in Spring Grove), all the other children are at home with William and Mary.
I am hoping to go back one more generation now from William Lowe. I have nothing at all as to a possible name or location of the family. William and Mary Lowe are pretty much solid as to David H Lowe's parents. I hope I am still track with all of this.
