My great grandmother Kata (Katherine) Meszaros came to the U.S. via Ellis Island. Her brother Karoly Meszaros was already in the U.S. Kata was born Nov. 25, 1890 in Korenova, Jugoslavia. On Sept. 13, 1908 she married Jandro (Andrew) Grabaric (Grabrick) in LeRoy, N.Y. He was born Nov. 30, 18884 in Lasovac, his first arrival at Ellis Island states that his residence was Severein. They had one son and then returned to the old country, Lasosvac, Austria. They arrived back in the U.S. via Ellis Island on Dec. 6, 1912. This passage was on the SS Konigen Luise. They lived in LeRoy, Carville and Tonawanda, NY then moved to the area of Ewen, MI about 1922. Andro and Kata raised five children, John, George, Mary, Ann and Katherne. Naturalization and the list of petitions granted are the documents that contain the above information. Andro died before his was completed. Kata and Karoly had their's completed by 1940-1941. Kata's brother Josef Meszaros changed his name to Mason, he died in Ewen, MI at his farm 06/06/1938.Survivors listed were his sons, Carl and John and a daughter, Mrs. Geist as well as his sister Kata.I believe that John, his wife Eva and some of their children lived in Lancaster, Alameda county California.Their children would be Frank, James, Russell Dorothy Corbin and Catherine. Also, Kata and Andro Grabick's daughter Mary Margaret Grabrick was first married to Milo Castagna and then to a man whose last name was Choate.I believe that Mary's children from the marriage to Castagna live in California.I would like to obtain obituaries, photos etc of these individuals and reconnect with this generation of my relatives. Their descendants live today in California, Illinois, and Michigan.
I am seeking more info on their ancestors and also siblings, as well as descendants of the siblings.
