I need help identifying an old photograph. Not my relative, but found among a deceased relative's photographs. It is of a young man (teens or early twenties) in a military type uniform with CAC on the collar. It has been suggested that this might stand for Clemson Agricultural College (South Carolina). The photography studio was in Anderson, SC.
The inscription on the photograph says "William L. Garrison - 1921."From this I arrive at a likely birth year of 1900 to 1905, but might be off by several years.
The SSDI lists a William L. Garrison born 28 February 1900 who died 7 December 1987 with a last residence of Concord, California.Rootsweb's California Death Records shows this same individual as William Lloyd Garrison born in MN on 5 May 1901 (mother's maiden name - Priest).A likely match, but it could just be coincidence.
Does this sound familiar; is this your line?I would love to share the photograph with any descendants.Anyone have access to an obituary for this guy?Drop me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any ideas.
