Bob, I found this in the December 6, 1941 issue of the Fresno Bee:
CW Perkins, 48, Phone Firm Worker, Succumbs in Auto
CW Perkins, 48, of 3460 Grant Avenue, a telephone company repairman, died today in an automobile enroute to the office of Dr. LN Pearson at 916 Divisadero Street, apparently the victim of a heart attack. A physician pronounced Perkins dead.Efforts of the inhalator crew of the fire department to revive him proved futile. Mrs. Perkins said her husband was taken ill suddenly and was rushed to the doctor's by a neighbor. She said he had never complained of heart trouble. A native of Texas, Perkins had lived in Fresno twenty two years and was employed by the telephone company all that time. In addition to his widow, he leaves a son, William Perkins, also of Fresno. Coroner JN Lisle took charge of the body.
