The Historical Newspaper collection at Ancestry has the Nevada State Journal of Reno Nevada. They have the obituaries of the Rev. Emory, (spelled Emery) Howard Mowre. He died Sept 6, 1926 in Fresno CA of heart disease. He was the minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church in the South Fresno District. He was a pastor in Tempe, AZ; Portland, OR; San Francisco and Sacramento, CA. He was also the presiding Elder of the Willamette and Fresno Districts. WWI he joined the Y.M.C.A. and went overseas. Says sevices are to be conducted Thurs (Sept 9th) but not where he was buried. The issue is dated Sept 7, 1926. His widow Zee moved to Reno after his death. Their son Forrest/Forest B. died May 5th 1944 and they spell last name Mowre and Mouure, Zee is still living in Reno. Zee’s obit appears too in this paper and the Reno Evening Gazette saying she died Sept. 15th 1952 in Martinez CA and …“she is reported to have written a history of Nevada.She is a native of Carson City. NV. ” That issue is dated Sept. 17th 1953. The Ross Burke Company did the arrangements for both Forest and Zee and both are buried at Mountain View Cemetery. CA Death Record has Zee V. Mowre died Sept 15, 1853 in Contra Costa county. Born Oct 10, 1871 in NV mother's maiden name Moore, father's Name Parker.
