I went to the county library and checked the death indexes as well as the listing of the people buried in the Ferndale Cemetery. The only two listed in the cemetery are:
Chase, William H. S O H.B. &A(son of H.B. and A) 21 Feb. 1867 24 Jan. 1889
Chase, H.B. Co. D 40th Iowa Inf.( this probably meant he was in the civil war - 40th Iowa Infantry)
This may mean that there are only two headstones. The Ferndale cemetery is on a hill and very hard to park and then climb up and try to find a grave. The Ferndale museum may have a map that would tell just where the graves are.Take a look at this picture to see what I mean about the cemetery location. http://www.knowlesville.com/matt/images/2005-05/2005-05-10.jpghttp://www.knowlesville.com/matt/images/2005-05/2005-05-10.jpg
