I purchased the subject undated photo of a man standing in front of a house. It is identified on the back of the mount in period ink handwriting:
"Residence Emil Bellermann 1115 Shotwell Street S.F."
The handwriting matches that in Mr. Bellermann's passport application. He is listed in the 1870 and 1880 Census data for San Francisco, San Francisco Co., CA.San Francisco city directories show that Mr. Bellerman lived at 1115 Shotwell Street from at least 1879 to 1882.
