Leigh Johnson, Archivist San Joaquin County Historical Society and Museum
Please join us for Leigh Johnsen’s presentation on Thursday March 18th at 7:00 PM. Leigh is the new archivist for the Historical Society, coming from the Holt Atherton Special Collections Department of the University of the Pacific, where he worked as a project archivist arranging the papers of San Joaquin County historian Leslie Crow.
Leigh has published professionally in the Western Historical Quarterly, Church History, Spectrum Magazine, Documentary Editing, and Civil War History. He has also published in microform the Papers of Isaac Backus, 1690-1828, a documentary editing project focused on a noted New England religious dissenter often compared to Thomas Jefferson for his contribution to matters of church and state during the early days of the American Republic.
