Matrimony Becomes Habit
A marriage license was granted on Thursday afternoon to Jacob Henry First, the blind newspaper vendor, age 50 years, a native of Indiana, to wed Harriet Lucinda Lawrence, age 58, a native of England. Smithville, TX, Dec 6--F. W. Swenson, under indictment for running away with a young woman last summer, shot and killed his divorced wife, seriously wounded her husband, Jacob First, and then committed suicide. Swenson was a horsetrader and attacked First and his wife while they were on their way home from a shopping trip to the city.
I think "Febia" is Phoebe, they were married in 1892.
