Services for Martin C. Hellar Jr., 73, of Redding will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lawncrest Chapel in Redding.
The Rev. James Dahl of Cow Creek Community Church in Palo Cedro will officiate.
Mr. Hellar died Monday, April 22, 1996, at his residence.
Born Jan. 8, 1923, in Roseville, he moved to Shasta County in 1955 from Auburn.
He was a retired testboard deskman for Pacific Telephone in Redding and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1934 in Redding and Redding Elks Lodge.
Survivors include wife Doris; son Russell of Reno; daughter Allison LaBella of Redding; and two grandchildren.
Apparently, the obituary for Doris Mabel Hellar appeared in the Redding Record Searchlight on Nov 15, 2000, according to an index to obituaries, so I ran a search for her and no match was found in the archives.Perhaps you can find a volunteer in the area or contact the library.
