I am seeking John BAHLER, b. abt. 1829 SW d. unknown, m. unknown, b. abt. 1845.They were the parents of Bertha unknown, b. 1882.According to the 1885 Census for Jones County, IA, they also had in their home Emma Von Neitherhousen/Von NIEDERHAEUSERN, b. 1877 SW and Fred Von Neitherhousen/Von NIEDERHAEUSERN, b. 1878.
Rosina Von NIEDERHAEUSERN is the name of my great-grandmother, b. 14 Oct 1846 Schuepfen, Bern, SW.She and my great-grandfather, Christian BRONEMANN/BROENNIMANN, farmed next door to John BAHLER in Castle Grove Township, Jones County, IA in 1885.
Rosina Von NIEDERHAEUSERN was the daughter of Christian Von NIEDERHAEUSERN, b. unknown, d. unknown, m. 26 Sep 1835 Wattenwill, Bern, SW Elisabeth HOFMANN/HOOFMANN.The couple lived in Schuepfen, SW, according to church records.Rosina's father was BENDICHT Von NIEDERHAEUSERN of Wattenwil, Bern, SW.
I believe that there may be a close relationship between the BAHLER family and the Von NIEDERHAEUSERN family. I am hoping that you may have some helpful information and that you may be able to point me to others who are seeking the BAHLER family from Bern, SW.I would be happy to find the ancestors (dates & places) of any of the above.
I look forward to your response.
PS I am also having trouble getting more information from SW as the Bern Archives told that they had already sent more than they usually do.
