Following is a transcript of an obituary from the December 2, 1985 issue of the Times-Herald, Vallejo, CA:
VALLEJO -- James C. Burgess, 47, died Saturday at a local hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native of Michigan and had lived in Vallejo for 38 years.
He worked at Chipman Van & Storage for eight years.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and was a coach in Little League and Pop Warner Football.
He is survived by his wife, Happy of Vallejo; two sons, James and Tom of Vallejo; his mother, Martha of Vallejo; two sisters, Marion Mof- fett of Vallejo and Leona Stone of Fairfield; and a brother, Joe of Vallejo.
Services will be 7 p.m. tonight and 10 a.m. Tuesday at Twin Chapels Mortuary with the Rev. William Embree of St. Paul's Lu- theran Church officiating.Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Ceme- tery.
Friends are invited to call after 11 a.m. today at Twin Chapels Mortuary."
NOTE:Happy died on Jan 30, 1988 and is buried with James in Sunrise Memorial Cemetery.
