Following is a transcript of an obituary from the Vallejo Times-Herald, dated 11 Oct 1992:
FAIRFIELD -- Harry Ed- ward House, 70, died Thursday at home following a long illness. Born in Lawrence, Kan., Mr. House lived in Fairfield for 26 years.He worked at Concord Na- val Weapons Station as a quality assurance inspector for 17 years, retiring in 1986.
Mr. House served in the Kan- sas National Guard and U.S. Army, retiring in 1966 at Fort Bliss, Texas.He served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Veta of Fairfield; two daughters, Brenda Chernoff of Atwater and Debra McBeain of Fairfield; a son, Don of Fairfield; a sister, Lucile Hamlet of Oregon and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Bryan- Braker Funeral Home with Min- ister Otis Harper of Vacaville Church of Christ officiating.
Burial will be private in Gold- en Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno with full milirary hon- ors.
