FRAZEE, Mary Emily Biavaschi (Marie) Passed away peacefully on Friday September 17th, 2010 at age 94. Born in 1916 in Santa Rosa, she attended Burbank Grammar School, a Santa Rosa High grad, and then SR Beauty College. She owned a shop in San Francisco with fellow graduate, Hilda Martinelli. Upon returning to Santa Rosa, she met and married Carl Frazee, and had two children, Carlene and Robert. Nearly every Sunday, dinner was shared with Marie's large Italian family at her parents ranch on Ridley Ave., in Santa Rosa. Family and friends would come from miles away for the polenta, biscotti, wine, and long talks around the table in the back, under the weeping willow tree. Working for many years at So Co's Dependant Unit of Juvenile Hall, she also worked many years at Memorial Hospital until retirement. Marie walked every day from her home near the JC, to St. Rose for mass. She was Volunteer of the Year, held office in many organizations within the Catholic Women's Organization at St. Rose. She lived the last five years in both Freestone and at Sebastopol's Fircrest Conv. Hospital where she was so well taken care of by all there. She is preceded in death by her father, Santa Rosa Chief of Police, Emil Biavaschi, and her mother Ethel, brother George and husband Carl. She is survived by her daughter Carlene (Mike) Ferguson, son Robert (Kriss) Frazee; grandchildren: Ike Frazee, Matthew Cale, Jana Lombardo, Sara Frazee, and Amy Brown; 11 great grandchildren; two nieces, Cathy Lawson and Jeannette Fox, and nephew Gary Biavaschi. Ever so lovingly, Marie was also known by her grand and great-grandchildren as GDTS (Grandma Down The Street), Boney Noni and Nooni. With her perpetual smile and enthusiasm, open arms, encouraging words, and the aroma of pumpkin pie when you opened her front door...she will no doubt remain in their hearts forever. The family will have a private memorial service for Marie in the near future.
