Mrs. John T. Warner Was Native of North Carolina and Came Here Three Years Ago
Mrs. John T Warner, mother of J W Warner, well known Turlock garage man, died at her family home two miles west of town Thursday night after a brief illness.
She was 72 years of age and a native of North Carolina, her residence in Turlock District covering a period of about 3 years.
She is survived by her husband and seven children, three of them being residents of the district, named as follows: J W WArner, Mrs. W C Strothers and Mrs. Henry Austin. The others live in the east and south.
The funeral service is to be held in the Geckier chapel Monday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Keast officiating. Burial will be in Turlock Cemetery.
I couldn't find John. Either
1) He died out of state (or out of county) and wasn't well-known enough to have a "former resident dies in ..." obituary.
2) I missed it. The Tribune didn't have a table of contents. There were local deaths on page 1 of a couple of the dates I looked at, and I do this a lot, so I doubt it, but I'm human.
3) He didn't have one.
4) None of the above.

Some things I try to copy at the bottom of every obit I post:
1) I'm not related and didn't know the person. I do this to repay a number of people who did lookups for me, in a general way. They almost never need a lookup in Stanislaus County, but others do. If you would like to return the favor, in the same general way, I suggest the GenForum site for your county. There are usually unanswered obit requests.
2) I’ll send you the paper copy of the microfilm if you send me your address via my profile.
