Denver Post 2/15/1916 Gus Liljiberg, 17, nephew of John R. Sandburg, committed suicide last night by drinking poison and slashing his wrists. He was the son of Carl Liljiberg, who worked in a grocery store. Gus worked in John's garage. He had an argument with his parents, got some money from a friend, Gavin Irvine Jr, 16, and went to a drugstore and told the druggist he needed poison for a dog. He took the poison, then ran across the street to a barber shop and stole a razor and slashed his wrists. He died at the hospital.
