I am doing a project on the Pueblo insane Asylum in Colorado. I am trying to track any death records or burial information for people who died at the facilities between 1879 and 1899. The state did not keep death certificates at that point and the county ones are spotty at best. I have names and dates of death from the facility itself, but that is all. I would like some suggestions as to the best way to track down where those who died were buried, as well as any other info about them that might be avaliable. The state gave everything to the University I attend and I am the one who has been asked by the school to look into the feasability of the research. I have all the records from the asulum during this period and have no access to family information. I have age, date of death, location of birth, a rough age and the county that commited them, which is why I am asking for advice since there is so little to go on.
