Hope not too disjointed: Susanna Huffington, (abt1685~1763)in DelMarVa had 3 husbands bearing 2~3 children per spouse. One husband, James Tully(abt1680~1743), bore Wm. Tully to marry Charity NICHOLSON of Richard Nicholson of MD.Charity's daughter, Temperance, married (secondly) John Grumbles in 1784 in DE.Of that union a child was born, Susanna Huffington Grumbles(1790~1862) who married Joseph Troth in 1812, MD. Another husband of Susanna Huffington, James NICHOLSON, bore a son, Huffington, abt 1763 DE.It appears that she died in childbirth at a very mature age?! The Nicholson's of DE and Troth's of MD & NJ seem intertwined when the NJ birth of Joseph 'Nicholson' Troth was blessed to Jacob Troth & his wife, Rebecca NICHOLSON.Paul Troth (Jacob's father) was known to tend his businesses and Quaker obligations in the MD & DE areas, but I can't find evidence that Jacob ever left NJ. My goals are to find out: 1) who is Joseph Troth of MD who married Susanna Huffington Grumbles of DE, 2)how does the 'Nicholson' name connect to the MD & NJ Troth families of early DelMarVA, and 3) how does 'Ferry Master' Census job data connect to and support that the succeeding generation carried on Ferry Master into their 1810+ PA abodes.
