I'm glad you've made such wonderful progress on these people.I've been involved in genealogy for over 40 years and it sometimes seems to me there is very little interest in these early Kent Co families.Kent County really has wonderful records compared to so many places and the early settlers were a very interesting group of people.Of course,it can still be very difficult to prove some relationships as in any other colony. If any of the deeds abstracted in Brewer are of particular interest I would recommend ordering copies of the originals.Sometimes certain matters and names are clearer in the originals.
That Crippin name crops up several times in relationship to the Tomlins, too.I think John and Nathaniel were sons of Nathaniel Tomlin who died 1711 leaving a number of orphans.Only recently I learned that Nathaniel Tomlin was a recent arrival from Barnstable Co., Massachusetts.I have never identified the wives of either John or Nathaniel (Jr).John and his wife, Hannah, became active Quakers and Hannah was a literate woman who signed John's estate bond with a beautiful script.Nathaniel Jr and wife Mary do not seem to appear in Quaker records but,as you say,his dau Mary married Joseph Nichols.
