Valerie, I too looked for help in Delaware. Not many Delawareans are out there to do look-ups. I requested a directory look-up some months back with no volunteers. I recently came across the Historical Society of Delaware web site:http://www.hsd.org/library.htmhttp://www.hsd.org/library.htm I ended up sending them a request for them to do it for me. It cost $20. and I had information in my mail two weeks or less. They gave me copies of pages from the directories, census soundex indexes from 1900 and 1920. My family was of Italian descent so they included "Italians to America" passenger lists that included my great-great grandfather's first name. Giuseppe Branca, over the years it was changed to Brank. So they sent information on both that they could find. When the package came, they sent an invoice for copies, $4.40. It was so worth the money. I believe they only do an hour or less of research for the $20, so be as specific as possible. Since they provided me with more information than I had anticipated, I am thinking about sending another 20. for a new search. It was well worth it to me. On the other hand if you are only looking for a directory look-up, they I believe have been microfilmed. Good luck to you.
