I am currently looking for any information concerning the family of Thomas Hearn and his wife, Sarah Coffin.Thomas lived and died in Little Creek Hundred. His death date is 24 Sept. 1832. According to a petition for the division of his property he left his wife and seven children: James R. Hearn, Burton R. Hearn, Kendal Batson Hearn (my gr.gr.grandfather), Fernetta Hearn who married James E. Ellis of S., Eleanor Hearn who married Isaac Hearn of S., Marseilles Hearn, and Sperry Hearn. I also know that the old farm homestead was located just north of Delmar, off present day route 13A.They were all members of the Methodist churches and/or Baptist churches locally. I also know that my gr.gr grandfather, Kendal Batson Hearn died June 1874 and was buried on the home farm. The farm, according to Beers 1868 Atlas, was halfway between Delmar and Bacon's Station, yet to date no grave sights have been found for him,his wife Elizabeth or any other relatives.I also know that Kendal B. raised horses, race horses I believe! Any information to help in my research would be greatly appreciated.
