Our great, great grandfather was James W. Gray, born in 1823 in Wilkinson County, Georgia and we were told he died in McAlpin, Florida in Suwannee County. It turns out, however, the Gray buried in McAlpin was a son.
James W. Gray married Mary Jane E. Calhounon on Jan. 2, 1849 in Irwington, Wilkinson County, Georgia; the daughter of Williamson Calhoun and Jane Manson. He later married Sara A. Calhoun on Dec. 14, 1851 in Irwington, Wilkinson County, Georgia; also the daughter of Williamson Calhoun and Jane Manson. Sara was born in 1836 in Georgia and died in McAlpin, Florida; date unknown.
The children of James W. Gray were Eliza I., born 1853; Susan W., 1854; John William, 1856; Sara A., 1858; James G., 1860; Sally L., 1865; George L, 1867; Mar56tha A., 1876; Elizabeth, 1878; and David G., 1879.
Is there any way possible for you to provide me with information regarding the death of James W. Gray and where he is buried? I know there will be a cost, and I am willing to pay for the information. I will appreciate anything you can do tp help in this matter.
