I would like to correspond with anyone who has info on James H. Lang.Wife Minnie Beatey Lang died Jan. 1916 leaving James with young children named Fred, Florrie or Flossie, Bessie, Anna May, and Margaret.James next mar. Pearl Bryan.James dau. Margaret was 11 months old when mother Minnie died and was later adopted by George and Lula Fanning of Macon, Bibb Co., GA.In 1930 a Florida newspaper carried story about 17 year old Margaret wanting to find her Lang birth family in FL.A Mrs. Lewis T. Ivey of Green Cove Springs, Clay Co., FL apparently knew the family and helped Margaret and her sister Anna May get together.Margaret's story ran in the newspaper on Nov. 2, 1930 and on Dec. 15, 1930 the story about Mrs. Lewis T. Ivey of Green Cove Springs story ran.Margaret was in high school in Macon, GA at the time and Anna went to visit Margaret and the two sisters planned to visit Green Cove Springs during Margaret's school break during Christmas 1930.The newspaper gave Anna May's name only as Mrs. J.S. Hersey and said she was from Hines, FL which is in Dixie Co., FL.We have found a 1928 marriage record for an Annie Lang and a J.L. Hersey in Mayo, Lafayette Co., FL that we believe are them. The last info we have found on Margaret is that she married Howard Lincoln Monroe in Jacksonville, Duval Co., FL in 1937 and divorced him in that same location in 1938.We are trying to find out what finally happened to all of the children of James and Minnie Lang.We are told that James died about 1926 and Pearl then married a James Adkins Methvin. It is said Pearl is the dau. of William J. Mosley and Susan C. Green.Pearl died in 1938 at mental hospital in Chattahoochee, FL and is buried there in one of the hospital's cemeteries.Pearl's parents are buried in the Etoniah Cem. in Putnam Co., FL.Any help with this Lang family sure would be appreciated. Thanks for any help you can give.Yvonne and Melise. (Melise is Margaret's grandaughter and wants to find what happened to her grandmother).
