Lynn Lingo 4/22/04
I am so pleased and excited to hear from you. I am related to your great-aunt Kathryn Lingo Goodwin's daughter Pat by marriage--but not directly to the Lingos. I feel like I am related and know them all personally as I have been researching the family as a present for her. In fact, on Easter Sunday I gave her a draft notebook of the genealogy of the Lingo family I have followed from Maryland to Cincinnati to Tampa--and today I was working on the last family member I was missing in Oakland, California, Helen Hamlin (Jr.). Now you open up a whole new chapter--the next generation. It is late now and I won't call Pat until tomorrow, but she will be extremely excited.
Captain Hall Lingo, b. May 29, 1880 in Cumminsville, Mill Creek Twsp, Hamilton Cty, OH, did have ten children, all born in Florida: Lillian, Robert, Kathryn, Mary Belle, Eunice W., Harry Hall, Laura, Alice Margaret(Margie), Edward, and Captain Harold. Winnie was a nickname. I have pretty much all the information on his family which you are welcome to share. Why don't you email me privately and I can ask you about your family--I assume in Florida--and I can tell you about your family in Maryland, Ohio, Georgia, Florida and California. Great to hear from you.
