I found a site on Lousina Red Bone Indians that says George Franklin Mayo lead a group of 100 families to Louisiana from Georgia about 1857 and their descendants became the Red Bone Indian group Vernon and Rapides Parish Louisiana. One of George Franklin Mayo's wives was Elizabeth Callahan. There also are Cumbie, Hall families there. we know that they were in Holmes near the Goddin and Thomas and Hall families.Maybe the reasonthe reason some of us are so stuck issome of our families went there and there was a pack not to reveal where they came from. Some of these families relate to Kennedy, Hollis, Bland, Morrison, Curry families in Holmes. In stead of being so worried about what we may find, let's try to combine what we know.
