In 1850 there were two Fielding Patterson.Seems there may have been a combining of these two.
There was Fielding Patterson b. ca. 1832 in GA.He's in the household of Francis and Amanda Clark in Franklin Co., GA. In 1870 he is living in Hartwell, Hart Co., GA.Married to a Nancy.
Then there was Fielding A. Patterson b. ca. 1837 FL in the household of Isaac & Sarah H. Patterson, they are living in Key West, Monroe County, FL. In 1870 this one seems to be living in Washington, DC, married to a Mary.To be living in Wash. DC that soon after the war, I would say he was the Union Soldier.
The widow of Rev. F. A. Patterson was in Carroll Co., GA in 1900, a widow, age 54 b. Mar. 1846. She's had no children according to this census.I cannot find him on census records at all in Carroll Co., GA.
Most of the Pattersons in Carroll Co., GA are connected somehow to Tryon Patterson, Sr.
