I've been in touch with the Chief of Police, sent a note to the newspaper, tried historical society-no success either place. Now I'm reaching out again to the Genforum family for suggestions on how to find this man or his family.
While cleaning out my mother's jewelry box I came across a small, silver police badge. On it, it reads, Earl Hamilton, Police, Moscow, Idaho.
I've been in touch with the current Chief of Police for Moscow, ID and he isn't finding anything among their records. He tells me that the record keeping didn't use to be very good. He's talked with some of the "old timers" and none of them, so far, knew an Earl Hamilton. The Chief thinks perhaps this might go back to the 1930's or 40's?
My mother was never in Idaho, so how she obtained this-I have no idea. I would like to find direct line family of this man and send it on to them.
If anyone can help with information on him or know of the family line-I'd appreciate any help you might offer.
