John Arvidsson, De Lamar, 1898
I've got two old letters from America (written in Swedish) in my possession. I know that they are written by relatives to my ancestors and myself.
The first one is written in March,1st, 1897 by Carl Sjöberg. His address was 1503 Red River St, Austin, Texas. The letter is written to "farbror Anders" (uncle Anders). Carl tells that he is married and that he's got five children. The oldest is a son that is married. His mother is alive, but his father is dead. He also writes about Anna and Bjorkman (they've got five children), Clas and Johanna (three children, the oldest girl married), Sofi (widow with seven children), Christin and Carl Sanberg (six children).
The second letter is written in February,14th, 1898 by John Arvidsson. His address was De Lamar, Owyhee County, Idaho. The letter is written to Jonas Sjöstrand. John is telling about his mother and father. He also writes about Andriett who's married and got two little girls.
I do hope that someone will recognise these people and that someone might tell me more about them.
Best wishes,
Nilla
