Mr. Osborne, Both Thomas Rodgers and his wife Charlotte Pugh are brick walls for me.Thomas due to adoption, and Charlotte I can find no information on her.I began genealogy for medical reasons. You have a John and William Pugh in your posting perhaps their related to Charlotte Pugh, do you have any further information on them? Thomas Rodgers married a 3rd time to Jane Morgan November 21, 1872 in Clay county. I have no further information on any of his wives. I'm told Thomas Rodgers and at least 11 other members of his family were buried in the Rogers Cemetery in Larkinsburg Township NE/4, SW/4 of Sec. 26, T5N, R5E, E edge of Iola Illinois, and was surprised to learn of the farmer who used all the headstones for his sidewalks and foundation. How did you learn this please? I have a 2 page copy from a book entitled History of Clay county pgs 157-158 and mentions Thomas being brought to Illinois by Francis Herman and Clarkson Penrice, along w/ a Jesse Bishop in 1837,all from Middle Tennesse.Thomas was just able to ride horseback. He lived 7 years on the Okaw River (I'm not familar w/ this area).Thomas was a hunter and most successful bee hunter.I have assumed Francis Herman, Clarkson Penrice or Jesse Bishop were friends or relatives of Thomas Rodgers parents, but cant verify this. Exactly: if possible I would like to learn of his or Charlotte Pughs parentage, medical history, cause of death. One of the side effects of the disease I'm looking into is women who have it tend to bleed to death in child birth.Charlotte Pugh died in childbirth. Thank you so much for your help, and any further information you may provide and Merry Christmas to you.
