Well, I'm "a bit" late here. Wow, 11 years. Anyhow, James Harvey actually happens to be my Great-Great-Great Grandfather. At least the research I've done indicates this. Anyhow, I do have some information on the Dye surname. Theresa Dye's parents names were David Dye(1806-1865) and Elizabeth Johnson Dye(1862-1882). Elizabeth's maiden name was "Sheets". David Dye's parents were Daniel Dye, and Teressa Dye - maiden name "Underwood". Daniel's father was also named Daniel, and his mother's name was Abigail Dye - maiden name "Hutchinson". The Dye line is originally from Denmark and the original spelling of the name was "Duyts".
That I know of, there are at least 7 Dye family members buried in the Elmwood Cemetery in Flora, Clay, Illinois, including David, Elizabeth, Theresa, Fremont, and Lizzie Cleo (Cleo Lizzie?) Dye.
I have a considerable amount more information, if you are still following this forum thread and/or are still interested. Kind Regards, Matt Bowler
