Mary, I'm trying to trace my Moore line and am wondering if you have anything that might match up with what I have. I'm hoping there might be a connection because of the common Newton name. The first generation is a little sketchy. O.G. Moore (known as Pinkey), died 7/31/1901. He married (1) Elizabeth Bennett, (2) Francis. He was a Civil War Veteran. He and wife Francis are buried in Wilson Cemetery in Paris, IL., but evidentially lived most of their lives in IN. Pinkey and Elizabeth's children were: 1) Ellsworth 2) Mary Jane, b: 8/10/1866, m: Sam McGlothlin 3) Louisa Jane , b: 11/25/1869, d: 4/21/1954 4) Comma P. b: 7/09/1871, d: 3/19/1927 5) Edward Newton Moore (my g-grandfather), b: 12/09/1874, d: 2/10/1965 Edward Newton married Nora Ann Maple 12/17/1895 in Edgar County, IL. Any response would be appreciated.
