When I was growing up I knew Atwood "Peanut" Ruckman. He worked on the railroad and retired. There was a small hut on the intersection of the railroad and Maple Ave.He used to work in it. He only had one arm.. My father told me he had lost it in a train accident. He was a really nice man.He used to scold me for riding my bike down the railroad tracks to the country. Now I realize it wasn't safe, but in the early 60's I was dumb. Irma was his second wife. She was a wonderful lady and later married a man named Spencer. His first wife was a lady he met in the Phillapenes when he was in the service, at least that is what my father told me.His daughter Peggy did look a little asian and was very short, in stature and temper. When I was in high school I dated her son Randy Swinford. She married Wilbur Swinford and lived on the Old Clinton Road in the country.I remember he used to sell Amway stuff. He has passed away. They had two sons, Thomas and Randy. Peanut lived on Jefferson street on the west side of Paris. Let me know if I could help you any more. It is nice to remember some people who you grew up with. The Ruckmans were super.
