SMITH, ROBERT MLURTON, SARAH MJERSEY CO, IL 09/02/1858 A/171
Smith, Robert M.IL JERSEY CO. JERSEY LANDING PRECINCT 114 1860 Whoever this Sarah was she was 22 in 1860 census records and he was 27.
It is apparent from the 1850 census records that Sarah b. abt. 1822 MO is a widow with children Mary A. 18, Caroline 13, Joseph 11, Henrietta 9, and Sarah 7, all born IL.Therefore, I have to assume that Nelson did die 1844 and before 1850 as Sarah the youngest was born in 1843.Sarah and family are living next door to William A. and Elizabeth in Jersey Co, IL in 1850.
