I want to announce that Hancock County ILGenWeb has a "New Look" and "Layout". My intention and goals are to assemble and introduce new and exciting routes to promote quality growth of this research data base. When you visit the site you will see the home page displays only a list of sections such as Cemeteries, Surnames, Obituaries, etc.
Once you have entered into a section you will find a index to all the pages which correlate with the section. (some index pages will display only an alphabet table. Click on the letter of the alphabet which the surname you are researching begins with. Others are needing your contributions.)
The strategy behind this make over is to enhance the navigation and accessibility to all the wonderful genealogy data available throughout the site.
Use the links on the page to find topics of interest or use the search engine to find all of the information available about a specific person or place.
I hope you will enjoy your visits to Hancock County ILGenWeb. This website is dedicated to providing easy access to free information for family historians searching for their roots. Come and visit this site at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilhancoc/http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilhancoc/
