I've been searching for descendants of my irish ancestors in USA for about three years. I've managed to find them on the 1880 Census of Shields Township, Libertyville, Illinois: Microfilm Ref. T9 Reel 221, Line 34, Dwelling 237, Family 240. They were James O'Connell, 61, Hannah, 47, Daniel, 16, James, 14. I know they were in Gateshead, England in 1871, and that they were in USA by 1876. I also have two addresses for them, but no clear information on dates when they might of lived there. One is 109 Hickory Avenue, Chicago, the other is Warrenton Grove Post Office, Lake County, Illinois which I know was established 9 August 1888 and discontinued 14 June 1904. In Scotland, and England, James was engaged in some kind of work to do with railway construction. I know that James married Hannah in Limerick, Ireland in 1852, and that they had two children, William and Mary, born in Ireland. They then had Hannah, born in Kirkudbright, Thomas, Newcastleton, Daniel, Melrose all Scotland, then James born Rothbury, England.
Could anyone offer any assistance or information, to try to find out what happened to them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
