It doesn't look like this is the same James. The baby James S. I have on record would only have been 11 if he had married in1882.His parents were not married until February 1871.
I'm still recording information from old obits and records I got from my grandmother, Isla Dawn (Craig) Rigg.If any elder family members are still available to you in the Hainline family. You might ask them if they remember her.Years after her husband, Earl Rigg, died, she married Fred Swanson.I know that my grandmother kept in touch with the Hainlines for years, but so far, this is all that I can find in her records.I, too, would like to know more about James S. and his children! This family is mine and it is too bad that after a couple of generations families do tend to disappear.I know that I'm very willing to share my information on anyone who needs it.So, please keep my name on file.
Anyway, I just pulled my existing information out of my file box.
And I have the obit for Anna R. McElrath Hainline:
HAINLINE-At her home, Friday, April 27, 1872, Annie R., wife of Jacob E. Hainline, of Hire, and daughter of John McElrath, of this city, in the 21st year of her age. A bleak evening without, but warm and cheerful within, a year ago last February, at ther father's residence, Annie McElrath was married to the man of her choice. The next day, with buoyant heart, she went from under her father's roof with her young husband, out into the world to finght with him the battles of life.Last Saturday, she came back to the home of her childhood.Sunday there was another gathering there, but not like the one that crisp winter night a year ago.The minister who performed the marriage ceremony, the husband, Annie, and many of the former guests were there, but there was also a burial casket, and Annie was in the casket. The minister preached to the audience who bowed their heads in silence; the coffn lid shut the dead white face from sight, and we bore through the falling April rain and buried all that was earthly of Annie Hainline, among the green mounds of Oakwood Cemetery.
This information more clearly puts James S. birth in February 1872.
