My husbands gr. gr. grandfather Franklin Tittsworth in his obit says he was one of 22 who went in 1849--he came back to Pike Co Illinois about 1852.
In John Brammel's obit it mentions that when the "gold fever" reached this part of the country, he along with--Frank Tittsworth, Amos Morey, William Uppinghouse, James Talbert, Moses Wagoner, Jack Jennings, Charles Brewster, and J. W. Brammell made the trip overland to California.
I recieved these obits from another researcher, so that's all the info I have, but I hope it helps you.
