Hi Richard Thanks for responding to my posting. Lots of good information. Some I have and a lot I didn't have. Are you related to this Bacon Family? I am a g-grandson of Castilla Viola Bacon daughter of Franklin Bacon.
I have the 1860 Census but apparently overlooked the James F. Baconfamily. This is the first I have heard of them.
I had not seen the 1870 census; however, Victor would be Ransom Victor brother of Franklin.
I have a copy of marriage certificate for Florence Chloe d/o of Franklin and Jennett which I just recently obtained.
Almira J.second wife of Frank Bacon, 1900 census, is Almira Jennett/Gennett Anderson Bacon--this according to marriage certificate of Florence Chloe Bacon Mathers(shown on her gravemarker as Jane Bacon)
Franklin, Jennett(Jane), Joseph Mathers and Florence Chloe are buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Henderson Cty. Chloe,Ransom V.,Alonzo,Lucretia (first wife of Franklin) and three toddler/infants are buried in Hopper CemeteryHenderson Cty.
The 1900 and 1920 census are new to me.
Almira Jon 1920 appears to be Almira Jennett as she was born 1832NY. Franklin's daughter Almira J. was born abt. 1853 ILshe married Granville Priest
I have the info on Charles and family from one of his descendants.
I have a copy of a land patent issued to Franklin and the information on Illinois Land Search
On website:http://heshull.tripod.com/http://heshull.tripod.com/<>Bacon <> on Index to left of page I have posted the information that I have on this family including burial information that I have just received from a nice lady that has a copy of the Henderson Cemeteries Book.
I also have a copy of Land Patent dated 1818 to Ruth Bacon, heir of John Bacon. Now I am curious if Ruth and John are part of this family.1818 was before statehood, formation of Henderson County and quite a while prior to Silas and Chloe arriving Henderson County in 1837. Silas died 1841 and two daughters died in 1844.I have no name or any information on the daughters. Harold
