I am glad I could help a little. Jacob Moser's wife was Barbara, age 33 from Baden, Germany, as were her husband Jacob, 39 and first child, Jacob 11.The other five children were born in Indiana.I thought that Mary Bulever, 66 from Baden was probably Barbara's mother and Jacob's Mother-in-law who most likely emigrated from Germany with the Mosers. Barbara and Mary must have been Bohlleber family members. You are right, the English speaking recorders often misspelled German names, writing what they heard, not the correct spelling. One has to always look for variant spellings for German names.
"Church Records of Vanderburgh County, Indiana, Volume I", edited and indexed by Michael L. Cook, pub. Tri-State Genealogical Society1979 lists: baptisms of the Moser children and also Bohllebers.
P.292 , 1862 records lists the parents, Jacob Moser of Legelshurst, Baden, Germany and Barbara Bohleber of Odelshafen, Baden Germany. Both towns are east of and across the Rhine River east of Strasbourg, in Baden.Odelshafen is near Willstatt and Legelshurst a short way northeast of Odelshafen.
There are good resource books in the Willard Library.
