As a hobby, I rescue old photos that have identification on them.I'm reposting one, because I believe that the second photo became separated from it, when I posted it and they need to be placed together.
"As a hobby I rescue old photos that have identification on them. From an auction, I picked up one, that has a large family posing in it.
There's a lot of different styles of hand writing on the back-as if it was passed down and someone was trying to save the information. The oldest looking writing says, in red ink, (looks like) Jasper died in Eureka. (Someone cut the image and it went through that part of the writing). Then Front row, boy to left? Father Henry Hezikiah E (Smudge) In light blue ink-3rd from left back row, Susannah Martha Evert (cut off-probably to fit frame). born June 14, 1880 Douchin County, Missouri, died may 28th (cut off) Nou (illigible) Ill. Clydes mother.
Then in darker blue ink: Front row: boy to left? Father, henry Hezikiah Everts, Ruth, Mother, Ruby.
The image is very good. The littlest child moved during the photo shoot. With the parents, are 10 children. Looks like five girls and five boys. Stair steps in age. The little one could be a boy in a day dress but I'm not sure."
The second photo is a postcard of a young man that is dated 1919.On the back is written:"John Everts, Henrys boy."He could very easily be one of the young boys from the previous family portrait.
