Jamestown Press Boone County Indiana Friday, March 8,1901 Surname: Cox
James A. COX died at the home of his mother here Saturday night at 10 o’clock of consumption, aged 21 years and 7 days old. He had been sick and unable to work on the farm for about six months, and from the time he had to give up work he gradually grew weaker until the end came. He was of a quiet and good natured disposition and well respected and liked by all who knew him. Funeral services were conducted at the M.E. Church Monday, of which he was a member, at 10 o’clock by Rev. O. B. Rippetoe, after which the remains were interred in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. A large concourse of friends attended the funeral. He was a Christian young man and had full faith in the saving power of Jesus, and was ready for the call.
